Common problems we fix
| Problem | What we do | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Page loads and typing pauses | Cut or speed up the waiting | A shorter video with every step still visible |
| Text too small to read | Zoom and pan to the active area | Readable on a laptop and usually on a phone |
| Jumpy or wandering cursor | Smooth the path, or enlarge and highlight the cursor | Easier to follow; very fast moves still need a zoom |
| Names, emails or IDs on screen | Blur or cover on every frame they appear | Safe to share outside the company |
| Notifications and popups | Cover, crop or cut them out | Works unless the popup sits over the action |
| Hum, echo or uneven voice | Noise reduction, EQ and leveling | Clearer speech; heavy echo can only be reduced |
What cleanup can and can't do
Editing can make a usable recording look polished. It can't add detail that was never captured. A recording made at a small window size and stretched up will stay soft, and a zoom on blurry text only makes it bigger. If a recording is borderline, we tell you before using it and suggest which steps are worth recording again.
Recording tips that help the edit
- Record at the resolution the viewer will watch, with the browser or app at a common laptop size
- Turn on do not disturb, close chat apps, and clear the bookmarks bar
- Use a demo account with clean sample data
- Move the mouse slowly and pause for a second before each click
- Record the voice with a separate microphone, close to your mouth, in a room with soft furnishings
- Leave a couple of seconds still at the start and end of each take
Cleanup without a full edit
Sometimes a recording only needs fixing, with no new structure. Internal meeting recordings, recorded webinars and support screen shares are common examples. We can tidy those without adding titles or music and send back a clean file for you to use as is.
Questions
Can you blur data in a long recording?
Yes. Long recordings with data that moves around take more time, so list what needs hiding in the brief and we'll quote for it.
Can you change the cursor after recording?
Often, yes. If your recorder saves the cursor as a separate layer, we can restyle it fully. If it's baked into the picture, we can highlight it and smooth the camera around it.
